WWII era Chevrolet 1.5 ton? They produced a fire engine version but I don't recall the model number. It would be unlikely to remove the rear axle from a GMC CCKW. |

Certainly a Chevrolet G-7107 based crash tender. Several companies provided the fire fighting equipment: American Lafrance, Mack Mfg., Darley, Oren, Minn, and Central. They belong to the 'Class 135' mobile fire-fighting and crash tender vehicles. An early wartime design done by the Quartermaster Corps was named QM 110. |
