It's a Chevrolet Tahoe. Neptune, I know that at some point, around 2002 0r 2003, the Tahoes/Suburbans changed from having these rims (/images/005/167.jpg) to the ones shown above. Do you happen to know when they made that change? It could better help with the year identification. |

I always get confused with the Chevy Suburban and Tahoe. They're almost identical. |

It can be hard sometimes, but you have to remember that the length is the key |

you can usually tell by the roof rack too. the Tahoe attaches about 3 times, the Suburban attaches to the roof 4 |

It’s a 2005 model, "LS" |

The wheels on the Tahoe above belong to the 1999 through 2003 GMT800 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickups. The Tahoe’s wheel design changed for the 2004 model year. But they went to the wheel style pictured below, not the one above. |

So these are transplants from the Chevy pick-up then? |

Yep. |

But I don't get it, I've seen these wheels on many Tahoes, both personally and in movies/TV. There's many Tahoes on this site with those type of wheels too. They can't all possibly be transplants... |

Oh!, I think you misunderstood my comment, the wheels on the Tahoe above are indeed transplants from the GMT800 Silverado trucks (they are the exact same design and were not designed with the Tahoe in mind as the GMT800 Tahoe was not in production yet) Some Tahoe’s did come from the factory with those wheels, but there were very few of them. The Alloy Blade Wheels (From 2000 to 2003) and the Alloy Flat Star Wheels (From 2004 to 2006) were more common. |

Oh, I see. Thank you very much for clearing that up, I had always wondered about that. I guess there's some changes that can be made to the Tahoe/Suburban pages then to make the years more accurate. |

2006 only by the single antenna on the roof. Truck_Guy explains better than wikipedia here: /vehicle_1198257-Chevrolet-Tahoe-GMT820.html |
