Last-gen Jaguar XJ8 |

it seems to have the chromium bars on the bumpers along the whole width and rectangular position lights - so I believe it is X300 either XJ6 or XJ12. |

Looking at the thumbnails, this has the grille of a Daimler. |

You are correct about the grille, but the cat is still leaping and the film was made in the USA. The Daimler brand is not being used in that country. There the car is known as the Jaguar XJ Vanden Plas Mk.II (1995-97). |

From the chrome around the taillights and the wheels it's a XJ12. But the grille and bootlid are Daimler's. Maybe it was a special edition, like the Daimler Super V8 they had not long ago. |

Daimlers also have chrome around the taillights. This one has full width chromium bars on the bumpers, dark taillights and rectangular side markers. So it is also a X-300 ('95-'97), which was available as either 6 or 12 cylinder. In the US the 6 cylinder Daimler was sold as Jaguar Vanderplas (with Daimler grill and bootlit) and the 12 cylinder was only available as XJ12. The leaper was only available on the US market, even on a Vanderplas. Most wheel were optional available on any Jag (or Daimler) |
