Well, Karmann is the factory that built this version of the Cabriolet. Originally (since 1946) there were two coachbuilders that produced Volkswagen convertibles: Hebmüller (2-seater, Typ 14) and Karmann (4-seater, Typ 15). The Hebmüller factory burned down in 1949 and never really recovered. The Hebmüller Cabriolet was discontinued in 1953. But I don't know wether 'Karmann' was used in the US-name officially. |

A five-star car in a music video? You are not serious, are you? Is this car singing, or what? Five stars should be used if either the film circles around this car, like the Peterbilt in Duel or the Ford T in Perfect Day or else the car is cult, like the De Lorean in Back to the Future 1,2,3, the Cadillac in Ghostbusters, Ferrari in Magnum, P.I., etc. In the second case the car should get four stars minimum for it's appearance in the film. Else the Land-Rover 101 FC customized for Judge Dredd would get five stars, as it it probably better known than the film itself! .gif ":)") |
