By the shape of the grille it is either 1948 or 1949.
In 1948 there was the Hudson Super Six Sedan and the Hudson Commodore 4 Door Sedan,
in 1949 there was the Hudson Super Six Sedan and the Hudson Commodore Six 4 Door Sedan ... provided my information is correct and complete.
I don't know if it is possible to keep the trim levels and years apart in this picture, but I remember that Pilou knows about the Hudson cars. He might be able to give a better identification.

As far as I could find out, all 1949 Hudsons had foglights next to the grille, so that would make this a 1948 model. But according to my info there were four 4-door sedans: [481] Super Six, [482] Commodore Six, [483] Super Eight and [484] Commodore Eight...

The Hudson is definitely a 1949 Commodore Six, model 492. I owned that very car at the time, and rented it for the movie, as well as the red 1951 Buick Special Deluxe convertible. Regretably I no longer own these cars. The Hudson still exists and is on display in a car museum in Nivelles. The only differences between 1948 and 49 Hudsons are the model number (begins with 48 or with 49) and the woodgrain finish on top of the instrument panel (glossy in 1948, matte in 1949).

Not quite right. The taillamp housings differed. The Commodore had larger ones.
Leaving as '49 since Patrick says he owned this car but the 2 years were identical from the exterior.
There were other interior differences besides the dash finish both as between Commodores and between the 2 model years.

Either this is a Super or a Commodore that has lost it's fender top ornaments. They were standard on Commodores.
