The ten Daimler Fleetline CRG6/MCCW buses delivered to Birmingham Corporation Transport commencing in January 1962 had fluorescent lighting. Another case of what Birmingham does today London might catch up with in about 30 years?

I wonder if it's the London Bus Museum's 1968 RML2760 (SMK 760F) - logos etc look a good match here, though not sure if interior strip lighting is right for that picture.

@johnfromstaffs:
Quote From 1992 to 1994, all but two of the RMLs were refurbished for ten years' further service. This work, which included updating the interior to modern tastes and substituting Cummins or Iveco engines, was carried out by Mainline, TB Precision, Nottingham Truck & Bus and by one of the new London Buses business units, Leaside Buses.

The Wikipedia entry doesn't say it, but that is when the florescent lights were installed.

@dsl: Since RML2760 has an original AEC engine, it is one of the two RMLs that were not refurbished.

Only 30 years behind Birmingham then.
