modified 1985 Honda Odyssey(s). these had a single cylinder air cooled 350cc engine. This vehicle also has aftermarket aluminum rims. |

Don't you mean 1995? The Odyssey was first built in 1995, not 1985. |

Did you look at the picture? It is not the minivan which had the same name |

I don't know, what you're talking about. The picture definitaly shows no Honda and in 1985 there was no Odyssey either. |

In 1985 the Honda Odyssey was a vehicle like that. http://images.google.com/images?q=1985+Honda+Odyssey We have another one on the site: /vehicle_114364-Honda-Odyssey-1985.html -- Last edit: 2008-01-29 12:24:14 |

Thank you, Antp. Good link. As you probably know- Honda started making the Odyssey as far back as 1977. It was originally yellow and black with a partial rollcage. They later revised it (1980 I think) to a full rollcage and changed the colors to red and black. (They also revised the engine to use a CDI ignition.) They continued this model through 1984 with tiny asthetic revisions here and there. In 1985 they made the 350 model which had full suspension, full brakes and neutral/ reverse. (the 250 models just ran the centrifugal clutch/ torque converter. "neutral" was when the engine was at idle- not engaging the centrifugal clutch. No reverse, either). Unfortunately, the 350 model only lasted one year. Then, in 1989 they introduced the pilot, which ran for 2 years. This had a 400cc liquid cooled engine, but had the same basic chassis as the 350 model with updated suspension and plastic body panels. kaefergarage.de- Honda later recycled the names "Odyssey" and "Pilot" for their mundane transportation models. I grew up with a 1982 (250) Honda Odyssey, and have later owned a 1985 350 Odyssey here in So Cal. The '82 is still sitting in a barn in upstate NY at my parents place rotting away. a shame, actually. |

I'd still like to see a Honda Odyssey minivan towing a trailer that carries a Honda Odyssey ATV. Does anybody know if it has that kind of towing capacity? |
