It first appears in 7.10, but is rarely seen until 7.21 (Which is where most of these screenshots are from) Yes, this gold LTD first appeared as Frank Kamana’s undercover Five-0 car in “A Gun for McGarrett”—the 10th episode of Season 7. It appeared that Douglas Mossman (Frank) was going to be the next Five-0 operative brought in after Ben’s sudden departure. However, that never really came about as Mossman’s character of Kamana was only in a handful of episodes before he too was suddenly gone. I find it interesting if not odd that it seemed Danno always drove the black baseline models (customs), while Chin, Ben, Frank, and later Duke all sometimes drove other colored, fancier models—such as the LTD. -- Last edit: 2018-05-17 05:45:03

Later on Duke replaced him and became a regular on the show. And as for Danno and Chin's cars, I guess Chin got a fancier model because it fit in better as an undercover car than Danno's black sedan.

Yeah, Duke was a nice edition to Five-0, but I liked Ben...he was cool, and I wish he had been allowed to stay on. But from what I understand, Jack Lord didn’t want Al Harrington as a regular because he was taller than Lord was...and Jack felt this might overshadow his character of McGarrett. Yeah, the black “undercover” sedans were a little obvious, lol! So I’d of thought Danno would have been given the “normal-colored” sedan as a better undercover car, since he was McGarrett’s favorite and 2nd in command.

The last couple/few seasons I had to go by car books and other sources to try and get accurate models and years for the stars’ cars for my “Book ‘em, Danno!” file. Itll be nice to have some pics and true factual info to ensure my vehicle lists are correct!
