1948 ERF V-Type before the Willenhall cab. Probably 7-8 ton /vehicles.php?make=ERF&model=V-Type&modelMatch=1&modelInclModel=on Truck and de-mountable railways container load perhaps having own fleet numbers looks like a big operation to me; livery reminds me of London Carriers Ltd but cannot find colour photo to confirm? . Donald Cook's not found but maybe advertising. -- Last edit: 2018-03-28 16:39:01 |

Seems there was a Donald Cooks Canning Factory in Kings Lynn (read the last entry for a strange story about tins being relabelled!!), but while I can't read the small words to guess what they say, none of them look like Kings Lynn, Norfolk, Tinned Goods or other likely details. |

Yes dsl I found that but dismissed Donald Cook's Kings Lynn as it doesn't appear to be a well known household name - they probably produced generic tinned goods for other wholesale or retail outlets? They later got into frozen foods (ex-Fropax brand) but Donald Cook's name does not register with me part of my family were grocers at the time. |
