◊ 2007-06-18 20:20 |
I don't see the difference between an Impala or a Caprice... |
◊ 2007-06-18 20:29 |
You're in the same boat as me, I've seen loads as well but still can't tell the difference.! |
◊ 2007-06-18 20:32 |
theoratically it could be a Pontiac or Oldsmobile aswell I believe I would not know, cause I cannot tell the difference either.... Good thing we have Snookie |

1991 Caprice 9C1 |

Oh, it's not just Snookie. Any American(including myself) can tell the difference. |

1992+ colored B pillar |
◊ 2007-06-18 21:31 |
There arent any impalas with this look |
◊ 2007-06-18 21:32 |
in this model there was only the Impala SS |
◊ 2007-06-18 21:33 |
Exactly and besides its only similar but not identical |
◊ 2007-06-18 22:38 |
I can too, mostly because I like these models. I still have to identify more precisely between the 1993 & 1994 models that are too similar, but for other years I can identify them correctly now Except the Impala SS mentioned above, closest one is the Buick Roadmaster. -- Last edit: 2007-06-18 23:02:10 |

As I told Snookie before: The dash. For the 1991-1993 cars, the dash had this look: http://i24.ebayimg.com/07/i/000/a3/58/00ee_12.JPG The 1994-1996 cars had this dash: http://carad.ebayimg.com/i23/01/a/000/77/89/9e6b_4.JPG Also, 1994 was the first year for the center caps: images/028/048.jpg And as for your comment Snookie, how can you really tell if the pillar is colored the same as the body? The only thing I can tell from looking at this picture is that it's a 1991-1993. -- Last edit: 2007-06-19 20:31:49 |

The top of the pillar is just BARELY visible on the left. It's just easing into the picture |

I agree, two or three pixels allows to identify the car as 1992+ Thanks for remembering the dashboard thing for 1994+ identification, ford_guy, I'll try to remember it Edit: but the more I watch the picture, the more I think that the dashboard looks more like an older one... it seems quite wide, no? -- Last edit: 2007-06-19 16:17:05 |

One other thing; Pontiac didn't have full-size cars after 1990, so this couldn't possibly be a Pontiac. Oldsmobile and Buick, maybe, but not Pontiac. -- Last edit: 2007-06-19 18:59:10 |

1993 Chevy Caprice ABS |
◊ 2007-06-19 20:26 |
Yes, you are correct. This is definitely a 1992-1993, just by the dashboard and the information about the B-pillar. Where I said it was a 1994, I was referring to another Caprice on this site since I copied and pasted that comment from another page -- Last edit: 2007-06-19 20:29:59 |
