The Police Traffic version was first used by the London Met in 1951. This car shared the same bodyshell as the then Morris Six. In time (1954) the Wolseley 6/90 was introduced after the Riley Pathfinder (1953) and had a completely different shape to the 6/80 which was of monocoque construction and not unitary construction.
