You'd think they'd shrink-wrap these pallets too,being that it's boxes filled with glass bottles,and they'll have to be moved/handled a few times??? "Shift Happens"  |

They used an experimental "inflatable dunnage bag" which wraps round the pallets inside the rail wagons - https://youtu.be/Duoq7esgf5s?t=392 . About 10 years earlier than the 1970-ish date given by wiki  |
