Are you sure? It looks like a Wolseley to me, and that registration was surely issued in the late 40s. -- Last edit: 2007-08-27 15:05:50 |

Definitely not 1958 date of manufacture so either re-registered later, or as I believe, a false number-plate. Source: DVLA registered as Austin. The vehicle details for HLE 901 are: Date of Liability 01 01 2008 Date of First Registration 22 05 1958 Year of Manufacture Not Available Cylinder Capacity (cc) 2200CC Fuel Type Petrol Vehicle Colour BLACK I agree with chris40. My thoughts are that it is more likely to be Wolseley or Morris (shared the same body) around the period 1937-1949). As I cannot see the Wolseley badge on the boot, to me it is possibly a Morris 10/4 but I cannot find a rear-view to confirm. From the information I can find, some Morris saloons had the spare wheel mounted at the rear under a cover? |

its an immediate post war wolseley 14 .and its the same car as used in the chase scene of enigma as a police car, fitted with grp front wings,as several takes were shot where it left the road and crashed through a fence. |
