Well, since the destroying process is not visible I guess that it was not really destroyed ;)

Perhaps some Hollywood films aren't as well-known in Germany. It's a kids movie (not the biggest of it's year), starring Frankie Muniz from "Malcolm in the Middle" (pre-Cody Banks), Amanda Bynes (one of the Hilary Duff generation of teen starlets) and the excellent-in-other-movies Paul Giamatti as the bad guy (driving this Jaguar).

If you look clearly in the photo that I provided below, you will clearly see that it is a different car, you can tell by the wheels, wich belong to an XK8, so they used an XK8 model when it is all crunched up.

Looking at the picture that WASSERSPEIER provided, not you, they seem to be the same rims.

And it has already been said above that it was not really destroyed: the destruction is not visible there is no reason that it would have been actually destroyed.

The "crashed" car on the pics is definetely a fake. At first the wheelbase is too short - if you smash a car flat, with a "Bigfoot"-truck or just a scrap-press, it will be lower, but not shorter, eh?

And how idiotical: the car is totally destroyed, but the typical Jaguar-XK-wheels, which identify the model exactly, are in perfect condition, well mounted and good to see in the movie. Hahaha, funny joke.

So @Kowalski and @audicrazy and @JAG XJ12: you three guys can stop crying.

Also you can see some chrome on the crashed car that isnt fitted on the XK & the covered mounting plates for the door mirrors are wrong.

Anyone got an idea of what the crashed car actually is? Its likely to be a 2 door saloon with the roof chopped off.

Looks mid sized judging by how out of proportion the wheels look, something E30 sized maybe?
