Vanagon, as it's a US version.

But it's in Germany I believe?

According to the filming locations it could be:

Wrong flashing blue lights at wrong positions, wrong font for "Polizei", and the green colour seems to be too pale, too. So it's a fake police vehicle anyway.

That's right. Besides, German police rather used the "cheaper" version of the T 3 which was equipped with round headlights instead.

Not everything of the German police-T3's was cheap. The engine was usually the quite powerful 112hp-version. Not the extreme lame 55hp-Diesel, the military-version had.

The T3-versions of the Bundesgrenzschutz (the German border-patrol) makes the VW-freaks crazy. A lot of them, mainly the civil ones, had the back sliding-doors on both sides and also the very big sunroof - an extra, which was so extreme expensive, that nearly noone else has ordered it. :king:

P.S. I don't know, how it was with the police-version, but the Bundesgrenzschutz-T3 and also the Bundeswehr-VW's had the - - famous Eberspächer extra heating.
