I don't think it's a 750 Monza, a 121 LM, a 875 S or a 410 S. I would bet one Euro on : 1956 Ferrari 860 Monza... |

I would have lost my Euro. It's s/n 0744MI, a 1958 Ferrari 412 MI driven by Phil HILL at Riverside. FYI: MI stands for "Mondial Indianapolis". -- Last edit: 2007-05-21 14:30:39 |

Correct designation would be 412 S. I am also quite sure the correct serial number is 0744 with no suffix. |

^for now we'll group them as MI and check barchetta's accuracy later same car: /vehicle.php?id=56635 /vehicle.php?id=182979 edit: since there was another 412 MI Ferrari car, a single seater that raced under "Indianapolis" rules at 1958 Monza -MI=Monza Indianapolis, it's more appropriate to call this by its official name "412 S" even if it inherited the single seater's engine and is often called "412 MI" itself. https://www.ferrari.com/en-EN/auto/412-s "....The only 412 S was built on chassis no. 0744 (ex-312 S –....sported the Tipo 141 engine with twin overhead cams used aboard the 412 MI single-seater.... Also known erroneously as the 412 MI...." http://www.barchetta.cc/english/all.ferraris/detail/0744mi.412mi.htm https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_412_S#312_S https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_412_MI -- Last edit: 2023-01-17 20:23:57 |
