bent8rover ◊ 2007-05-17 17:49	e Ford Essex V6 was of 2994cc. Were V6 Essex engines fitted to Mk1 Transits? I thought the first model to have this petrol unit fitted was the Mk2 in 1978. Will check. Info on York engine sparse, 2.5 litre most common, so title changed until confirmed. thanks.
FredTransit ◊ 2009-02-24 16:39	This van is 100% V6 from new, the original owner being the UK fire brigade. We supplied it to the production, the owner did the driving! The Essex was carried on to the Mk2 in 1978, and stayed in production models as an option until 1986.
