PS we had got it marketed thru 1982 to 1984(3 body trim availables:HL,HLS and CD)

PS 2 Was available also in Automatic version,gifted of well-known Hondamatic gearbox(renamed in Triumph as "Tri-o-matic")

Not to worry, I saw the post you (or someone) deleted ... because the Acclaim - in any version - suited little old retired blokes with trilby hats and pipes who drove in the middle of the road. You're not like that, are you? :D

I sure hope you're joking ... I'd hate to think of you at your age driving your Plymouth (not Triumph) Acclaim down the middle of the road in Red Wing, Minnesota, smoking a pipe and wearing a trilby hat.

It was a largely off-the-shelf adoption, pretty well fully designed in J. UK input was mainly trivial stuff.
