All minibuses in UK were Tourneo? |

I don't think so. Just a plain Transit minibus?? |

Tourneo started in 1996, didn't it? |

Possible, personally I was unable to find pre-facelifted ones on Google. Such seats with these headrests were e.g. to meet in older Transits in what was known in some countries as GL trim level (but not necessary was named same way in UK). -- Last edit: 2017-06-11 17:18:56 |

Fairly sure this is first version (86-91) of Mk3 with black plastic below headlights - became body colour for 92 slight facelift and 94 major facelift (both still within Mk3 sequence). Wiki says Tourneo started in 95 as as a posh trim level on the normal Transit minibus as a sort of executive MPV. I don't know what trim levels applied to early UK Mk3 minibuses - GL is plausible, but they might have still been Custom as carry-over from Mk1/Mk2. |

Before the Tourneo there was the Transit Executive: /vehicles.php?make=Ford&model=Transit+Executive&modelMatch=1&modelInclModel=on but this looks like one of the larger minibuses. The minibuses were usually higher spec (even if they weren't Executive/Tourneo). |

^ Earliest Executive found by online googling is H49 KBL, registered Jan 91. Also it seems all the early ones were metallic silver-grey colour - no other colours showing up. First Executive brochure seems from ebay listings to be Feb 1990 publication, although similar looking ones also apparently have 1991 dates. Have just stumbled on a Ford UK VIN-check site which takes UK plates and spits out the result - seems to work OK for a couple of test registrations, although didn't recognise H49 KBL. So here it is for general trying-out - http://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do |
