Post-1979 2CV6 Spécial fitted with Charleston hubcaps, I'd say. Anyone ?

Charleston hubcaps were partially in body colour. Those ones seem to be from some other special series of the 2CV, or directly from a Dyane.

Anachronism as the film is set in 1976...The matriculation is from 1974.

In the comic they have a 1967-73 (grille without logo, chevron on hood):

Actually as it turns out the family had first a 1953-60: Link to "www.photorapide.com" and the other one came later.
Later they bought a Dyane, and most recently a C3: Link to "www.photorapide.com" (It took me a long time to realize the C3 echoed the design of the 2CV)

The family also had a red GS once.

Can't remember that - there was a brown GS though, in the gag where Boule and his friend built a snowman on a traffic sign.

Why would it be an anachronism? It's perfectly normal to have, in 1976, a car registered in 1974.
Actually, for once, the registration is time correct.

A post-1979 2CV would be an anachronism in a film set in 1976, would it not?

Answering with quotes makes it much easier to understand.
I was responding to your comment (film set in 1976, registration from 1974), didn't pay attention to the one stating it was a post-1976 car.
