73-79 chevy k-10 step side short bed(saying k-series due to not seeing any tire in the wheel well-lifted?/positive on the half ton 10 series-heavy half was a suspension package on half ton chevys in their day,kinda like todays z-71) |

I don't recall the Heavy Half option being available for 4x4 but nothing positive on that. Certainly a 10 series as it is short wheel base. |

i was just goeing by not seeing any tire near the wheel well-figuring lifted. who is to say someone didnt stick a sticker on the side of it also though? making everyone wrong (including me)and it not be a heavy half package at all? it is a chevy truck after all |

"Heavy Half" was actually a name GMC used,instead of Chevy(They used "Big 10")1978-80.Can't recall seeing a Stepside one,though???(GMC Heavy Half/Chevy Big 10 was a 1/2 ton truck,with 3/4 rear springs....used to refer to it "unofficially" as a "5/8 Ton",but all I ever saw were LWB Fleetside 2wd)...Of course,I'm sure that a few $$$ at your friendly dealer's parts counter back then could get you those decals!! |

come to think of it i do belive you are correct with the big 10/heavy half situation, but once again it IS a decal and it is all pinstriped up, don't take much to slap on a sticker. |
