Vincent (John Travolta): I got a threshold for the abuse that I will take, Jules. Right now, I'm a fucking racecar right, and you got me in the red, and I'm just saying it's dangerous to have a fucking racecar in the fucking red, that all. I could blow.
Jules (Samuel L. Jackson): Oh you're ready to blow? Well I'm a mushroom cloud laying motherfucker, motherfucker! Every time my fingers touch brain, I'm Superfly TNT, I'm the Guns of the Navarone! In fact, what the fuck am I doing in the back? You're the motherfucker who should be on brain detail! We're fucking switching, I'm washing the windows and you're picking up this nigger's skull!

One thing I've always found very interesting about Jules' car is that we never really see the whole thing, there's never a long shot that shows it full frame. Only glimpses & parts.

Is there difference between 1973 model year and this page?

There are few years of american cars that are easier to ID then 1974. Fed regs mandated tail lights were no longer in the bumper this year, and the bumpers got much farther away from the body to meet low speed crash testing by the dot. The other year is 1968, the first year of federally mandated front side marker lights.

How about 1973, when federally-mandated energy-absorbing front bumpers were adopted?

Many Mopars still had taillights in the bumper up until 1978.
'78 4 door Monaco/Fury for example.

Why was the Malibu(G rwd) wagon and its platform siblings allowed to have their lamps in the bumper? A logical mandate by the feds.

^ The ElCamino of that generation had its taillights in the bumper as well (until its demise in 1987), as far as I know there were no regulations prohibiting this.
