It's an ICL in the film...a fake make for the story.

That's just called a "Rambler",the make was the predecessor of American Motors.(AMC) Renault didn't buy them until about 1980,sold again to Chrysler a few years later....then it was gone!(But I think Renault also built the 1963-65 Rambler American--a different car--under license in Argentina(?)in the 1970's-80's???)

Because Renault didn't have any 'big' car in their program since they stopped production of the Frégate, they looked for a solution and found it in cooperation with American Motors. Since 1926 there was a Renault factory in Haren, close to Brussels, Belgium, and in the sixties they built here Dauphines and R4s for Belgium, Holland, Luxemburg and Germany. But they had still left a lot of production capacity. To fill up this production capacity and to get a big car in their programma Renault started to assembly Ramblers here (1962-1967).

Bullshit, actually the IKA Torino (since 1975 Renault), and with the fake comment of the USA user... it's too much. Never made under license, IKA was totally independent, and use the USA brands like Rambler, Jeep, etc.

From Wikipedia:
Quote The Torino began life as an Argentine hybrid of AMC's 1964-65 Rambler American and Classic with exclusively designed front and rear body panels, bumpers and interior. The central body section was derived from the 63-64 Rambler Classic with the engine and trunk compartments derived from the 64-65 American.

it is still based on the Rambler :p (but indeed it was not just a rebadged license build)
