Bedford MK, the military version of the civilian TK series. There seems to be a winch on the front bumper. |

When i was a teenager in 1999 i was based in Germany driving these as an MT driver. The unit on the front bumper is in fact just a tow hook... a much used item as these old trucks allways needed a bump start in the freezing German winters due to the batterys loosing their charge. Plus no power assisted steering, the windscreen wipers are either 'on' or 'off', and a top speed -in a good one- of 50 mph. Reliable old dogs tho, probably why their still in service. |
