Otherwise they would have converted the front of a W110, which was a common "facelift" included in the transformation to a hearse. Anyway, there have been "real" and "false" W111 hearses around. The coachwork of this one was done by Joh. Welsch & Sohn of Mayen/ Germany.

Quite possible. Otherwise they would have converted the front of a W110, which was a common "facelift" included in the transformation to a hearse. Anyway, there have been "real" and "false" W111 hearses around. The coachwork of this one was done by Joh. Welsch & Sohn of Mayen/ Germany.
