Another sequence a couple of minutes later, somewhere near Nairobi - interesting that side profile makes roof join almost invisible

Also likely to be same car seen at start of film in Mombasa

There's also a big Humber in Zanzibar clips after 04-05 - if it's same/similar laundaulet it has roof closed here - the open Laundaulet in 3rd thumb is Austin Princess (separate entry)

Can't find out much about Pullman Landaulets - "Seven special landaulet-bodied Humber Pullmans by Thrupp and Maberly were built to be used on a tour of the Commonwealth by King George VI of England. The tour was cancelled due to the king’s failing health ..." - http://autorestorations.co.nz/project/1949-humber-pullman-limousine/ - implying 1951-52 date.

Also "The future King George VI took delivery of his first Humber in 1935. He was so impressed by the limousines that after the war he ordered 47 to be sent to British embassies around the world........ The highlights of Marshall’s collection include a Pullman Landaulette, built for King George VI (the King died before it could be delivered)" - Link to "www.dailymail.co.uk" and "This unique landaulette limousine was originally built for King George VI for his state visit to Austrailia and is the only known survivor of this very rare landaulette style coachwork by Thrupp & Maberley" - http://www.humbercarmuseum.co.uk

So it's up for grabs whether one or more locally based cars, or brought in on the Britannia from UK and then brought back afterwards.

Rfs agrees this is Nairobi in the main pic, the Ascaris and the notice referring to the East African Standard being the clues.
