It’s at least a 2003 model (the Auto Dimming Rearview Mirror is visible) The Jeep Wrangler is a "Sahara Edition", (Sahara Edition for the USA, I don’t know if it’s called the same elsewhere)

Import, probably. How common are American cars in the UK?

This is in France actually.
Wrangler Sahara is sold there: http://www.jeep.fr/A_gamme/wrangler/tarifs/default.asp (either 3.8 V6 or 2.8 CRD engine)

Just curious, how common are American cars on the road in Europe?

Not really common. Exepts for Chryslers (in Holland)
(Grand) Voyager is/was in the list of top-selling big MPV's, Jeep Cherokee is doing well also.
I had a Chrysler Neon but it seems that I was the only one... ;)

Much the same in the UK.
Chryslers - and I think Cherokees - are built by Steyr at Graz, Austria, although with the Mercedes/Chrysler divorce this may change. The 300C is selling in small numbers to people who like American cars, or like their cars showy ...
Garco, that's what you get for thinking outside the box: the Neon never caught on here either :/

At least for Spain the most common ones are the ones that has been here with us for decades now, such as Chrysler, or Ford (well, it is Ford Europe so it doesnt count i guess), now you see more Cadillacs ( ) but not many unfortunately, we also have Chevrolets, but once again it doesnt count as the majority of them are Daewoos with the chevrolet badge on, if we had the real ones here as well... anyway, also Dodge is seen a lot in here, i have already seen now few Caliber and Nitro, and next year ( i think it is next year, im not sure) we will have Infiniti between us :D , so more american cars, oh and a minivan ive seen few tmes as well, not many but few of them which is quite a lot for an american vehicles was the Pontiac Trans Sport, though that one was offically sold here i think, this also deopends if you go to a bigger capital like Madrid, you see far more american vehicles than in a small region like mine can be :) .

The USA bumpers are WORST

^ this is the second time you have said this on a Jeep Wrangler page, are you saying that you don't like the original (US-Spec) bumpers on this particular model or are you still whining about the US changing the bumpers on cars imported from Europe? (which they no longer do)

Because i'm correct ;)
I dislike all the USA-bumpers. Okay? but you deffend the USA bumpers (ridicoulus and biggers).

From what I understand it's the EU-spec bumpers that are the bigger ones...

That comment makes no sense whatsoever. I haven't defended any US bumpers and nowadays most vehicles have the same bumpers whether they are sold in the USA or not. In the case of the Jeeps however the bumpers are bigger in Europe because of laws to protect pedestrians in case they get hit. Because of this all of the added plastic on these bumpers takes away from the utilitarian look of these Jeeps IMO. Like most people I hate the bumpers that European cars got for the US market in the 70s/80s but that has no bearing on my remarks here.

Well, tonkatracker's comment was both truthful AND informative, so you are incorrect.

tonkatracker wrote Ugly oversized bumpers = Made for EU

I thought that the bumpers were the same size on all models.

The Wranglers sold outside of the US had plastic bumper cover with filler panels added to the bumpers to fill the gap between the bumper and the fender flare also to lengthen the bumper so that it comes out level with the flare.

Compare the above picture to this US spec one: /i324146.jpg

The next generation JK Wranglers had even more plastic added when in EU form:
