I have to correct my first statement: At first, I was not sure whether the crash between four police cars and two jeeps was filmed on location or at the studios. After taking a closer look at the background buildings, and the cars itself, it seems that all the scenes where police cars got destroyed were filmed in England. Although most cars seem to be LHD at first glance, a look at the windscreen wipers identifies them as RHD. Because no steering wheels were needed for the pile-up scene, the producers probably modified them to look LHD, but forgot the wipers. These Ladas were used on the set in England, while these ones (/vehicle_3294-VAZ-2106-Zhiguli-1982.html) where used for the scenes actually filmed in Russia. Can anybody explain why the air intakes on the main pic are in a different location on each car? |

Different model years? Both cars have the look of scrappy scrappy jobs, especially the left one. |

I'll try to explain. If you look closely at the other photos, we can see the car, even with four air intakes. Like VAZ-21011 (Lada 1300). This means one - it was bought in the dumps a lot of cars of different models and they were disguised as VAZ-2106. |

1982+ 1600 Saloon [21062]. Differences: - 'Canadian-Type' bumpers (visible that they're stick out more than basic, no chromed parts). - 'Lada' badge on the back fenders. Can be added? |
