1973+ was first year of export Dacia to Poland.

Dacia 1300 was introduced June 1973 on 42th International Trade Fair (42. Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie).
Same time Polish and Romanian authorities signed contract for export 22,500 Dacias to Poland.
For October 1973 they exported 1500 cars.
Lonely sale & warranty service representative (on whole country!) was "Motozbyt" in Kielce.

Ok, I based on the first press test from 1972 or early '73, but the regular import could start later, indeed. Anyway this particular one has to be later by the bakcup lights, to me not avaiable since begining. Or it is some trim... I bought last summer the old 1980's Dacia 1300/1310p handbbok, but there was nothing about the trims...
Edit: Can be Dacia 1301 from 1975. In Renault gamme only R12 TS had backup lights and 1301 was such a Dacia version of TS: http://autolucky.republika.pl/Dacia/Dacia_1300169.htm

Another proof is first test in "Motor": http://fiacik.pl/porowna.html Dacia 1300 versus Polski Fiat 125p with black grill, model year 1973.

Source of informations: http://dacia.vipcar.pl/?status=1&dzial=1&id_pod=2&jezyk=1

And I'm searching about tail lights differences.

I found "our" 1972 Renault 12 TS: /vehicle_122557-Renault-12-X17-1972.html

I never saw Dacia 1301 in Poland.
And all 1300s seen in PL had those small extra tail lights.
Sources says about 1972/1973 introduction 1300 Lux and 1300 Lux Super versions. Maybe this is a key?

Standard cars hadn't those tiny lights, I suppose.
Did Dacia exported simplest plain 1300? But "Motor" 1973 comparsion test Dacia 1300 hasn't those lights, indeed.

We need some Dacia expert. :D

"Mr Sherlock Dacialmes" found this about Dacia in Hungary:
Link to "www.origo.hu"

Red car is 1975, yellow one 1979.

I found two differences thanks to translator on-line:
-> "DACIA 1300" badge on trunk lid. Letters are larger in 1975 car, smaller in 1979 car (1977 looks to be the change time).
-> Tail lights to 1975 has very tiny chrome rims. Later rims are black, like in 1979 car.
-> Overriders: large in 1975, tiny in 1979 car. (I found 1976 cars with large overriders, one with small. 1977+ cars have smaller always).
1975: http://www.daciaclub.cz/car_detail.php?id=248&lang=eng
1977: http://www.daciaclub.cz/car_detail.php?id=124&tab=basic&lang=eng
1978: http://www.daciaclub.cz/car_detail.php?id=29&lang=eng

1973 was first year of Dacia 1300's selling in Hungary too.

Other source Link to "daciacars.com" says:

"In 1978 Renault licence expried and the 1300 was completely Romanian car. Soon designers began to explore new ways of improving the aging design, for example introducing small rear indicators under tail lights for the 1979 model year.

Altough it's seen wrong translated because light are only retroreflective (if red one) or reverse (if white), weasel1984 you're right!

Restyled Dacia 1310 was introduced in 1979, indeed.
The selling on Romanian market started in 1982, after few series of "intermediate" cars.
Dacia 1310s went into Poland in 1983: http://dacia.vipcar.pl/?status=1&dzial=1&id_pod=2&jezyk=1

Good investigation! We are definitely closer. I do not know what to think about this: /vehicle_196786-Dacia-1300.html
The one from "07" have them white - let's make it a 1977 like for now.
The "intermediates" explain perhaps the differences in c-pillars.
BTW. As since 1972/1973 they started to completly made them in Romania (not from the Renault parts), I belive to most of the foreign countries they were exported since ca 1973.

Fast searching at www.daciaclub.cz shows any car with extra rear lights before 1979.

By the way, I think this (linked) is 1977+ Dacia 1301.

Extra strips, sunroof, head restraints...

130rapid - the above is a de luxe Dacia 1300 (circa 1980) with export extras. 1301 never had extra strips or head restraints, although early models did have extra tall seats (a la Renault). 1301s were either black or (very rarely) white. And they had special wheels from the R12 TS.

To complicate matters the 1300 LS was immediately below the 1301 in the Dacia range, and looked very similar, although later 1300LS models had normal wheels and were available in different colours.

1301 existed from 1970; 1300LS I am not sure but they were certainly around in 1976.

Backup lights existed from 1979 but some early lots had these as extras, while others had them retrofitted.

Non-standard Dacias from the 1970s are fascinating, but it's very difficult to find info about them...

Incidentally, Dacia 1300 should be a 1969 model not a 1970 model, as they were introduced in August 1969 and several 69 examples are still around.

Very interesting facts, thanks! :sun:

We have one dogmat here - write model year always if we haven't better source (e.g. precise DVLA info).
So all cars made after 1969 holiday break are marked as 1970.

Strange, that offical website says 1983, I have something new - guy, who owns a vintage one, claims that his parents bought it (the 1310p) in 1982.
And here is perhaps the same 1310(p) (due to 1.4 engine) from 1982, later for sale in "Lengyelorszag": Link to "www.ooyyo.pl"
The question is only in what month of 1982 they arrvied for the first time, as maybe 1983 (as m.y.) can stay. If we take into consideration that 1310 was introduced at home around 1983 then for export maybe also was send since late 1982, but maybe not...

Another puzzle. My uncle bought Dacia 1300 at first days of December 1981. The body had old form still.
