The Kadett was on GM's T platform. I never heard that Buick used this platform, they rather imported Opels. Chevrolet did after ca. 1980 - the Chevette. Pontiac also did with the T-1000 (Acadian in Canada). Further, there were a British Vauxhall Chevette, and Isuzu / Holden Gemini |

T-car was the Kadett C and all the other cars listed above. The U.S. Chevette started in '76 and ran to '87, fulfilling a prophecy made by Ed Cole (IIRC) at its' launch, that it would be *too* successful and GM would not bother replacing it with a more modern FWD car (i.e. the '80 Kadett D) in a timely manner. |
