It's a Ssangyong Chairman. I found a picture of it in Autokatalog 2002, it's based on older Mercedes E-Klasse [W124]. |

Really "based"? not just with a style inspired from the Mercedes? Well, as they use(d?) Mercedes engines, it is still possible... -- Last edit: 2007-02-23 23:58:11 |

It's a Daewoo Brougham, not a Ssangyong Chairman. |

How to tell the difference? Compare http://mimong.i-ru.ru/produk_eng.html (Ssangyong) and www.freewebs.com/edward=len/details.htm (Daewoo). I think Autokatalog made a mistake (and I did too in believing them) and Eviv96 is right: there is a difference in the edges of the windshield, and also the division in the window of the rear door is typical for the Daewoo... -- Last edit: 2007-02-24 14:18:49 |

Not to mention the gril which is definitly the Daewoo (two horizontal lines, like the one above) instead of Ssangyong (with three horizontal lines) and the headlight units which on a Ssangyong have always been slightly rounder, and these days are even more vertical. http://www.smotor.com/en/showroom/chairman/wallpaper.jsp |

http://autoreview.ru/new_site/year2002/n11/rexton/800/CHAIRM%7E2.jpg this is a link to the 2002 chairman, note the difference in the headlights, have been unable to locate image of earlier versions, so that might be another option |
