If anyone's interested... I own the above Mustang from the movie Fear. I purchased it from the show at the conclusion of production in February 1995... along with that heap that was trashed for the parking garage scene, as a parts car. No Fear shot in Vancouver from September to December 1994.... and was released as Fear in 1996.
Incidentally, the wrecked Mustang was actually a black hardtop that had the roof cut off to look like a convertible. It was purchased from a local Vancouver Mustang wrecker by the show so it's days on the road were over anyways. I used parts from that car until I unloaded it to another wrecker in 1999. A few weeks later, somebody called me about the history of the wrecked Mustang as he had purchased it from the wrecker that I sent it to... he had intentions of restoring this particular convertible back to it's original state. I told him to take it back as it was really a hardtop... his reaction was a loud scream in the phone of....F#%$! I held back laughing... A few months after that incident, I received a phonecall from the RCMP about the wrecked Mustang and its history. Apparently, another person bought it from the same wrecker and tried registering it for plates...only to find out that it had been stolen. So that wrecked Mustang I used for parts and owned for 4 years as it sat in my garage had been stolen 11 years earlier! Too funny. As for the good convertible, I still own the car and drive it often. I work locally in the film business and it's been used in over 20 movies and commercials in the last 10 years. Great car!
As for the decent one's history... it is originally a 66 Wimbledon White 289-2V with a red interior. It was painted red and a black interior was put in for the movie. I still have it red w/ a black interior.
The show bought 3 Mustangs in total... 2 driving convertibles and the wrecked one. They also had 2 Corvairs for sale too...

The convertible has been in about many TV movies and commercials since I've owned the car. The car hasn't used for any films for about 5 years as I decided to give it a rest for a while... The extended use of the car for films happened by fluke. When I bought the car in '95, the Transport Coordinator called me a few weeks later and told me that there was a show looking for a red convertible and would I be interested in renting it. I said OK and it just took off! I hardly had the car in the summers of 95, 96 and 97...which I didn't mind as I was working and wouldn't be driving it for work anyways. The damned car was earning more than me on some of those shows! I made enough money from one show that I ended up buying a 66 GT Ivy Green notchback in 97... then with the rest of the money, ended up restoring the GT. I consider myself very fortunate as I've worked in film for over 15 years and know many of the folks in the Transport dept. If they need a red convertible in a pinch, they tend to give me a call.
As for some of the shows the convertible has been in....mostly unknown TV movies. It was the regular car in the TV series, Poltergeist: The Legacy (for a few seasons). As for some TV movies... Unwed Father (97); Deceived By Trust (95) are a few that come to mind. One day I'll do a car resume of all the goofy shows it has appeared in. Coolest thing for me is that William Peterson drove the car for Fear (not to mention that Reese Witherspoon was along for the ride)... That rocks! My handle is chance... Peterson's character from "To Live and Die in L.A." - one of my all time favourite movies.... and I have his car from "Fear." Ironically, I didn't even know he was in "Fear" when it shot here... it wasn't until I actually saw the movie. That really pissed me off as I was offered a chance to work on Fear, but declined to work on something called "Crying Freeman." Oh well...

How do you post photos? I have a scanned picture of the wrecked car... and can post the Fear convertible prior to being painted for the movie (when it was white)... and how it looks today.

Here's some photos of the convertible from Fear and my 66 GT I bought from the movie rentals of the convertible. Plus I've got a picture of the wrecked Mustang when I owned that.

 Someone needs to do an HD recap of this movie. I would but I am really not the best at screen capping sadly. :(
