W108 or W109 ? I think a late W108 (280 SE I would say). -- Last edit: 2015-09-16 17:31:47 |

W 108 for sure. W 109 has a longer wheelbase, as well always a full chromed window fittings (all 300s have it). The wheel cover says it is a 1968+, and it is a 280 S or SE. -- Last edit: 2015-09-16 18:56:20 |

W108 had fully mechanical suspension, W109 - suspension with pneumatic springing. That's the difference. Just compare codes on Wiki Mercedes. However I see one mistake there: description of 1966-1967 [W109] 300 SEL with [W112] photo. |

The last thumb shows a 240 km/h speedometer. That was standard fittings on the W 108 from May 1969, and an increase from 200 Km/h. |
