Since it has air raid livery, and a one piece windscreen, it is probably a 1937 -1940, I venture that it is a Humber Pullman, because of the more vertical rear profile http://www.fahreisencars.co.uk/humber.html |

This is a 1947 Humber Pullman Mk1, JLU 365. The chassis number indicates it to be an export model which ended up staying in the UK. The colour is fake (it looks flat in the picture) - it was actually blue at the time but was re-jigged as black and given a fictitious blackout paint job. It is, however, wearing it's genuine (post war) number plates. The pre war examples were similar. It was owned by a film company for a time and was used both for multiple large and small screen productions. Latterly it was a museum exhibit and wedding hire in Hull (appearing on YouTube in this guise), although it did film work as recently as 2015 when it appeared in "A Royal Night Out". When in the museum it was presented as a pre war example which had been requisitioned for war work in 1939 and then sold back into civvy street afterwards. This is almost certainly not the case, especially since the body is indisputably after 1945 and the chassis numbers (several!) support this. We know all this because we now own the car and have done quite a bit of digging about its past. As of June 2023 it is approaching the end of a protracted re-commissioning which involved a reconditioned gearbox, new clutch, heavily reconditioned prop shaft, new brakes throughout and paint.
