Could the bulge between the front wheels be a transmission shaft? It seems to be the short 78.7"/1.99 m (a.k.a. 6.5 ft.) bed. But like the 97.6"/2.48 m (8 ft.) one, it was available for both the 1500 and the 2500 models for the Extended Cab trucks. ⇒ C/K-Series if unsure on 4WD and on model number? (Strange grille guard. What's the use of it, as it doesn't protect the headlamps?) -- Last edit: 2015-08-19 02:08:46 |

That is air deflector to improve aerodynamic to the windscreen. IIRC it reduces bug splatter at the windscreen during highway driving ![]() |

looks 4WD to me by the height and the step ( no real need on a 2WD ) but i can't tell the number. As for the grille guard , a lot of people just install them as a cosmetic feature without caring about what it protects or not @rjluna : thanks for that precision, i never saw them that way -- Last edit: 2015-08-19 02:43:59 |

@rjluna: I didn't mean the air deflector on the hood, but the square thing just in front of the grille. |

Looks like bull bar with aftermarket dual extra lights with cover to me. -- Last edit: 2015-08-19 13:52:38 |

K-1500 wheels. 2500 never had aluminum alloys. Tow hooks were standard by this time on the K-Series. Optional on C-Series. That little dip we see under the front of the cab is the front differential. |
