antp ◊ 2007-01-24 00:17	It is a 2nd generation Renault 5, aka Supercinq, what we mean by "série 2". Then in each of the two generations there are minor changes that occured. Originally that "series"/"mk" field was not intended for minor restyling, though some use it for some models (like R12, R16, etc., which is a bad idea IMHO as it is not logical compared to the use that we do for other cars). It was made for European cars that had the same name accross models, like Golf, Escort, Mégane, R5, etc. and for which it is common to use (un)official numbers in addition of the model name. -- Last edit: 2007-01-24 00:30:06
