Commentary talks a lot about Austin Eight at this point, but not sure how many of these and next few sequences are Eights. Going to post a few pages, but expect some at least can be combined after IDs confirmed.

Not an Eight, that was a little car with 1939 onwards styling, alligator bonnet, curved grille. /vehicle_391149-Austin-Eight-AR-1939.html

This is probably a Fourteen-Six Goodwood.

Nice house.

Last thumb above is probably DOJ 954. So is this a minute or so later

There are a few - maybe 3 - different Austins with DOJ plates (Aug 37) in this section of film so something deliberate happening.

It all means there are no Austin Eights in the film, despite emphasis in commentary .....

The Eight was a 1939 MY car, designed to look similar to the other models introduced that year, the Ten and the Twelve, which became accompanied by the Sixteen postwar. Maybe the commentary was working the audience up to some images which have been cut from the DVD.

Concerning two-tone, "all Austins prior to 1938 had black wings irrespective of body colour" A-Z of Cars of the 1930s.
