The tail lights indicate that it is a 1979 malibu, however in many european countries the year of the vehicle on it's ownership is the year it was first registered and not the model year as it is done in North America. |

I think it's older than 1980. Maybe 1978-79. |

it is a 79 model not a 78, the 78 tail lights are not square in the fender extentions |
