Assuming Leyland. |

From 1967 onwards by round (not rectangular) sidelights. Badge outline above the upper grille (not 'LEYLAND' lettering in the centre), indicates Austin or Morris. It does not appear to be BMC either with separate letters in same position as Austin/Morris badge. So 1967 Morris FG (or 1967 Austin S200/T200 or larger [FG]). |

I thought Morris had small grille without bar, with this format being Austin only when they were both sold in parallel?? |

Morris fronts were commonised with the Austin grille design (during 1965 I believe). /vehicle_650242-Morris-FG-1967.html This coincided with the commonised fronts on the Austin and Morris J2 vans... /vehicle.php?id=92234 -- Last edit: 2015-03-11 17:16:58 |

Correction; the Morris front remained in production through to December 1967 before the change to re-naming as BMC for both Austin and Morris in January 1968 (with the Austin grille). Commercial Motor Cover December 1967 with Morris advert showing Morris front. (The side-lights appear rectangular here also unlike the later round ones on some later Austin FGs). -- Last edit: 2017-05-05 11:00:26 |
