These gradually replaced the Scammel Scarab/ Townsman three wheelers , government decreed that trucks must have brakes on all wheels and the Scammels had no brakes on the single front wheel.
British Rail parcel vehicles were always battered to hell , even newish ones . Never a good advert for carefull parcel handling !!

Karrier Bantam orders from British Railways were from 1960 onwards, originally in the red and cream livery. The British Railways "Rail Freight" yellow livery was introduced from early 1963 onwards alongside the older red and cream livery as it was gradually phased out. There was also a short period (less than a year) of British Railways having a light grey livery before the yellow, but it was not widely adopted.
