Looks like a Ghia Supersonic coupe. They were fitted to several different chassis including Fiat 8V, Alfa-Romeo and Jaguar - http://fabwheelsdigest.blogspot.co.nz/2013/04/supersonic-concepts-by-ghia-1953-56.html. I guess knowing the location and who provided the car might help determine the make. |

Two other Supersonics in the database, both as Fiat: /vehicle_128841-Fiat-8V-Supersonic-1954.html /vehicle_374521-Fiat-8V-Supersonic-1953.html -- Last edit: 2015-02-16 02:04:21 |

Hmm... body proportions don't seem to match... this car has a much more 'cab forward'-like silhouette than a Ghia Supersonic. Note the distance between the front axle and the A-pillar: here the greenhouse is noticeably closer to the front than on the grand Savonuzzi coupé. Roofline and wheel arches look wrong, too... My guess is an Alfa Romeo 1900 C Super Sprint with the three-window Touring body. |
