It is very common for japanese cars to be shipped there. My uncle recently sold is Avensis to someone, who was buyingn cars from all over Germany, to be then shipped.

 Standing to a Senegal classifieds site, looks like that used cars sold there mostly are EU-spec... The most American car I've found still bears an Italian (Province of Pavia) license plate.
