Was 'Van' the name used in Turkey? |

No idea - I entered it as a holding ID to bring this and a Greek one into the open alongside the Scandinavian examples with their various names. If local name used instead of Van in TR and GR, they can be updated. |

No, US-Cars had been very popular in Turkey back then. Up to the 80ies large US-Sedans from the 40ies and 50ies were in usage as "Dolmus" share taxis http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolmu%C5%9F |

The 4 door Impala/Galaxie type sedans and wagons (And others, just any 'Big American Car'.....but even the smaller Chevelle/Malibu,Fairlane/Torino,Satellite/Coronet types as well??)I always knew were,a lot of Turks liked buying these off us Americans second hand just for this? Many even came up to Germany to buy these used? But the smaller, sportier, two door cars not so much? |
