North Western Road Car Company.

Leyland Tiger/Windover probably a 1937 chassis rebodied in 1950.

If the rear view is the same vehicle, then it's post WW2 as the number plate seems to be 3+3.

Could still be Leyland/Windover but PS2/3 chassis. Alternative is Bristol L5G chassis as the rear view number plate could be DDB 261, but I think front view looks Leyland rather than Bristol.

Plate might be CCK 24 - Preston issue early-mid 48.

Sorry, no. NWRCC buses registered in Stockport, (JA or DB) when purchased new, except for a few transfers from Potteries or Yorkshire Woollen District inter alia.

It's Buxton. Sliding passenger door. Plate still not clear, but I think ABC 12 format. Might be DOx??

:king: I'll take it as DDB 271 as the closest fit to what looks like ABC 12 format.

I have sat at my mighty and powerful laptop (!) and compared the subject picture and the museum picture side by side.

The front numberplate in the main picture looks like an ABC 123 to me.

The quantity, spacing and shapes of the windows are the same in the subject picture and the museum print.

The positions of the emergency door handle, the driver's foothold and the fuel filler are the same.

The driver's windscreen is of similar design in both pictures.

The design of the contrasting colour and the back mudguard swage lines/trimstrips match.

Both pictures show draught deflectors fitted above the windows.

The fleet name is in the same location relative to the trim.

I suggest that the numberplate information is not needed to identify this bus.

Not wishing to create waves, but this is a Bristol L5G. The axles are Bristol, and the N_N Bristol L5Gs had two circular holes in the bonnet sides, the Leylands had none. Further, the Bristols had an Autovac mounted on the bulkhead, and the Leyland PS2/3s did not.

Make as many waves as you like, but as ...

... I don't think I'll need a big tub of popcorn this time.

Another thought: The L5Gs had a rectangular number plate under the cab window, whereas the Leylands had the number plate at the bottom of the radiator.
