London Transport Double Deck Bus of the RT class. Whether it is an RT with an AEC chassis, an RTL (with a Leyland chassis), or less likely an RTW (Leyland but 8 feet wide) is beyond my knowledge, but no-one else seems to be trying to identify it. It is not, however, a Routemaster since there is no fuel filler under the second window.

Can't see the radiator, can't see the fleet number or the registration plate, the wheels look vaguely right for an AEC.

I see it's similar with this bus: http://ccmv.aecsouthall.co.uk/p788784717/h1BA147B0#h1ba147b0
Can be for reference?

If so, it should be AEC Regent III, 1946-54.

Without knowledge of the unseen detail, it is not correct to say this, unless anyone knows how to tell an AEC chassis from a Leyland chassis using only the information shown in the picture. London Transport changed bodies from chassis to chassis at overhaul, (including putting bodies from AECs on Leylands and vice-versa) and just because something looks like something, you can't draw any conclusion.

A Leyland bus is shown at the link below, for comparison with the AEC, minor body differences are not any clue to the chassis maker, for instance both makes could be found with or without roofbox numbers although a bus so fitted is more likely to be an AEC.

I cannot prove it for sure, but I believe it is possible this is a Leyland RTW.

Its only an idea but to me the rear window's width on the lower deck looks wider than expected compared to the veicle width?

Otherwise if we cannot decide best to default to an AEC chassis as the most likely. Also if it cannot reasonably be proved differently, if it has all the features of an AEC then it can be descibed as such.

A known recognition point of an RTW is the extra width of the red vertical line between the inner edges of tha advertisements on the rear quarter panels and the destination indicator. I don't see this on this example and would be happy to default to an AEC Regent 3 RT.

RTWs also have proper Leyland Wheels and a different emergency Exit which cannot be seen on this picture
