The Australian version of the Kenworth W900 is known as the T909

No, the T900-series is a uniquely Australian designed truck released in 1991, which replaced the previous American-designed W900 (which was built in Australia). The two trucks are not the same (but have similar styling). The model has had several small updates, first as the T904, then T908 and T909.

Besides the right hand driver's area and beefed up bumper and lights, what was different between the 2 KW's?

The T-900 has headlights that are flush with the front of the wheel arch. On the W-900, the lights protrude from the front. The windscreen wipers are another giveaway - on the T-900, the two wiper blades meet in the middle (in their switched off state). On the W-900, they face outward. The windscreens themselves are also slightly different. On the W-900, the two panes of glass are slightly angled, creating a "pointy" shape where they both join in the middle. On the T-900, the two panes do not meet in such a way, appearing more flat, which gives the illusion of being a single pane of glass. These are just my own observations, but there are a whole bunch of other more technical differences I found here as well: Link to "web.archive.org"

As for this particular truck, it is definitely a Kenworth of Australian origin, not US. It appears to be a C-Series (C-501/C-508/C-509), due to the increased ground clearance and the fact that it's towing 3 trailers. The C-Series are a heavier duty version of the T-Series.

KW started offering single piece windshield in the US starting around 1995, and when they did that, they changed the wipers and their configuration. Most of the T660 and W900 mostly sport the 1 piece windshield nowadays. Did this carry over into the Australian market?

I think it's the same truck used twice earlier in the film
