MG TA Midget, 1936-9. Due to re-registration the DVLA's dates are, of course, nonsense.

I'm not at all familiar with prewar MGs but from pictures found via Google, its longer than the TA by the distance between the rear of the door and the rear midguard possibly a four-seater? Also the top door hinge is higher on the car in the TV series.

This looks to be a 1934 MG Magnette Series NA. However this is not certain as I am a bit worried by the aero screens, and the DVLA's idea of its cubic capacity - 1622cc just happens to match the A60 Cambridge engine. An original NA would have had the 1271cc ohc six cylinder engine from the Hornet 12.

By the same door shape the body appears to be similar to the K1 Magnette?

The various Magnettes were fitted with various bodies, the K1 and the NA being available as a 4 seater. I chose the NA as there were about twice as many Ns as Ks built, but could be either variant.

Thank you johnfromStaffs.

I realised from reading there are only a few remaining K1 cars so following your info the NA is more likely.
