That's what I thought at first. ![[Image: hudson53jet.jpg]](http://pics.imcdb.org/18675/hudson53jet.jpg) About the right size. The brand badge is centered like the basic 1953 Jet (on left). Tail lights and backups are placed like a '53. (on right). Has an American-made look, too, doesn't it? (huge steering wheel?) But the subject car has very small bumper guards (if any) and the rear profile doesn't quite match. Trunk lid's too low on this mystery car. It's gotta be something else. Was thinking early Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider, Skoda, Simca, Fiat, some kind of Ford import.... but can't find a match. Besides, the gut feeling that it's American persists.
