What's the difference between this and the Beetle? |
◊ 2016-03-19 10:59 |
'Beetle' is just a nickname. |

I didn't know that. Thanks. |

It's not that easy. In short, as the US named the 1302 and the later 1303 as Super Beetle, they started calling the Sedan Beetle (or sometimes Basic Beetle, when compared to the Super Beetle) while they also started referring to the older ones as Beetles. On the other hand, you will find the Sedan used after 1971, mostly when compared to the Beetle Convertible (which was often just called VW Convertible), in the use of Beetle Sedan. Please don't ask for the long version. |

In Bulgaria is called 1300, but I have also seen other versions, I don't remember the model names. -- Last edit: 2016-03-19 13:48:42 |

Does this one has larger rear window? |

^Yes, you can also see the 1972+ flow-through. To the admin who changed this to a Super Beetle: If that was because of the comment above, I'd better add that it was about the Sedan/Beetle name and not for this car specifically. Even if the shape is altered from an undamaged one it seems to be the basic Beetle front end? 1972-73 in any case. |

In that case, 1972 model year only due to iron shaped taillights. |
