I think it's a (facelifted) Ford Transcontinental, built in the Netherlands. |

I'd say this was a Berliet of a similar period, sharing a cab with the Ford Transcontinetal. |

I would go with the Berliet. The Transconti's cab was taller. |

The all-black grille suggests an early Renault R310 rather than a Berliet TR. |

Perhaps, but where is the Renault badge on the front grille ???? http://i12.servimg.com/u/f12/09/04/47/94/aubry_13.jpg http://images-01.delcampe-static.net/img_large/auction/000/195/090/663_001.jpg http://lesrenaultdepapier.fr/CouverturesCatas/1981-%2020040.JPG |

On the other hand there is no Berliet badges as well... Agree that the all black grille is more typical for the Renault. EDIT: On the other hand there are Berliets with all-black/dark grille even on IMCDb: /vehicle_107805-Berliet-TR-280-1978.html /vehicle_71996-Berliet-TR-280-1978.html So it can be a 1978+ Berliet TR 280 or TR 350 or 1979+ 1979 TR 305 for example. Possible is also the very early rebadged Renault TR. -- Last edit: 2014-12-10 15:28:53 |
